ORLANDO MAGIC’S PURE MAGIC TIP-OFF PRESENTED BY CHASE BRINGS FANS PLENTY OF OCTOBER EXCITEMENT LEADING UP THE 2015-16 SEASON-Chase to serve as presenting partner for the Magic’s Season Tip-Off- 

     
Orlando, Fla. (Oct. 6, 2015) – As part of the Orlando Magic’s Pure Magic Tip-Off Presented by Chase, the two have lined up an October full of fan events, contests and giveaways leading up to the Magic’s regular season home opener on Weds., Oct. 28 when the Magic host the Washington Wizards, tip off set for 7:00 p.m. 

Some highlights for the month of October include the Magic and Chase T-shirt drop for 10,000 fans in Central Florida and the Magic and Chase basketball court refurbishment at a local elementary school on Oct. 24. In addition, Chase will serve as the presenting partner of Magic preseason games (Oct. 7, 9, 11, 17, 21 and 23) and the presenting partner of all opening week games including Oct. 28 (Magic vs. Washington) and Oct. 30 (Magic vs. Oklahoma City). Chase card customers were given the opportunity to purchase Magic tickets in advance.

 

Mon., Oct. 5

Magic Open Practice Presented by Chase

Magic coaches held an open practice with the team. The event was free and open to the public. Chase card holders received special opportunities, including an exclusive T-shirt giveaway and reserved courtside seating. In addition, all attendees received a 20 percent discount on retail items and a 50 percent discount on all food and beverage purchases along with exclusive ticket offer opportunities.

 

Wed., Oct. 7

Magic and Chase Youth Basketball Shootout Featuring Magic and Chase Court Refurbishment Announcement*

@ Three Points Elementary School, 4001 S. Goldenrod Rd., Orlando, 32822

1:00 p.m.

Students will be surprised with the news that their school will receive a refurbished basketball court and participate in a basketball shootout to determine which basketball court design, entered by students, their school will receive. The visit will also include an appearance from STUFF the Magic Mascot, Magic Community Ambassadors Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw and the Magic Blue Crew. *media are invited to film/photograph the event.

Magic Single-Game Tickets On Sale

Single-game tickets for games through January 31, 2016 of the 2015-16 Orlando Magic season will go on sale October 9 at 10 a.m. to the general public. Tickets are available for purchase: online at http://www.orlandomagic.com; at the Chase box office (at Amway Center, located on Church St.); at all TicketMaster outlets; by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX; MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover accepted at all purchase points.

Magic and Chase T-shirt Drop

To celebrate Magic tickets going on sale, the Magic and Chase are joining in a surprise T-shirt drop for 10,000 fans all around Central Florida.

Jr. Magic Youth Clinics as Part of Jr. NBA Week

The Magic will host three Jr. Magic youth basketball clinics throughout Orlando focusing on the fundamentals of the game, fit stations and visits from Magic players and coaches. Each participant will also receive a Magic basketball. More than 300 preselected students ages 6-14 from local schools will attend.

Magic and Chase Basketball Court Refurbishment Unveil

@ Three Points Elementary School, 4001 S. Goldenrod Rd., Orlando, 32822

2:30 p.m.

The Orlando Magic and Chase will unveil the newly refurbished basketball court to Three Points Elementary students and faculty. The event will include a clinic on the new court conducted by a Magic player, Magic Community Ambassadors Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw along with a festival for children and families.

Magic Scavenger Hunt

9 a.m., registration; 10-noon, scavenger hunt

The Orlando Magic will host a scavenger hunt around downtown Orlando as part of its season launch campaign countdown to the regular season home opener on Oct. 28. The winner will receive courtside seats to opening night on Oct. 28. Interested participants can register at http://www.orlandomagic.com/tipoff .

 

Sat., Oct. 24

Magic Pub Crawl

8 p.m. @ Downtown Orlando

The Orlando Magic will host a pub crawl as part of the Pure Magic Season Tip-Off Presented by Chase. The crawl will feature Magic Dancers and STUFF the Magic Mascot. Tickets can be purchased for $20 and includes four complimentary drinks and one ticket to opening night on Oct. 28 when the Magic host the Wizards. Magic Lake Eola Swan Boat/Floating Basketball Prize Giveaway

@ Lake Eola in downtown Orlando

10 a.m., registration; 11-1 p.m., event

The Magic will host a floating basketball prize giveaway at Lake Eola as part of its season launch campaign countdown to the regular season home opener on Oct. 28. One hundred large, inflated balls will be floating in Lake Eola with numbers attached to them. Participants will ride a swan boat to pick up the floating balls in Lake Eola and claim their prizes. The prizes will include tickets and Magic merchandise. Space is limited, those interested in registering must arrive at 10 a.m. on Oct. 25 to the Lake Eola swan boat area.
